Beeline announces new prefix and new prices, web site down
Beeline has announced their new dialing prefix 067 a few days ago in advertisements. I have updated the relevant past posts in this blog.
They also announced new prices by sending an SMS to existing Super Zero customers that the plan is being changed to a new plan called Super Plus effective from 2010-02-22. The SMS was sent to the author of this blog on 2010-02-21 at 21:29. The new prices were not mentioned, the SMS asks customers to call 0660 for details.
At the same time their web site is down (“under construction” as they say) instead of being on-line with the new prices. Not very professional IMHO from an international multi-million dollar company. Too short notice period, and lack of professionalism in the management of their web presence at the time when their customers need information. The Phnom Penh Post also has an article on the pricing change on their 2010-02-23 issue. According to the article the across-network price is $0.06 per minute with the new tariff. The new within-network price is also $0.06 per minute but the customers are being charged only for the two first minutes of a call up to 15 minutes. It is unclear how long this will last.
Update on 2010-02-25: Yesterday Beeline sent an SMS to their new Super Plus plan customers informing that they will get $0.06 added to their balance for every received across-network phone call which lasts more than one minute.
Update on 2010-04-12: Yesterday Beeline sent an SMS to their Super Plus customers informing that they will stop the incoming call bonus effective on 2010-04-12.

I found it is difficult to obtain the lastest promotion and service.
The call quality drop very often, as hand-off, may be too much overlap cell coverage.
I have also concluded that Beeline sucks. I have stopped using their services. See my recent post with the title “Beeline sucks”.
